Franck Muller imagines a timepiece that defies the conventions of watchmaking and time itself. The Round Triple Mystery is the latest evolution of this vision.

The Legacy of the Mystery

The story of the Mystery began with a vision to reinterpret the way time is read and experienced. The original Mystery watch replaced traditional hands with a single rotating disc displaying the hour, an innovation that expressed the freedom and elegance of time in constant motion.

Two years later, the Double Mystery continued this exploration with two rotating discs that elegantly marked both hours and minutes. This innovation became a symbol of Franck Muller’s spirit of creativity, redefining the art of watchmaking through movement and imagination.

The New Chapter: The Triple Mystery

Today, the Round Triple Mystery adds a third rotating disc, introducing the display of seconds for the first time. The result is a captivating ballet of three independent indicators that appear to float across a diamond-set dial, transforming the perception of time into a visual experience.

Each of the three discs for hours, minutes, and seconds rotates with perfect harmony, powered by the automatic movement. This movement was specially developed in-house to drive three separate rotations while maintaining precision and energy efficiency.

Creating the seconds disc presented a remarkable technical challenge, one that required an exceptional balance of lightness, strength, and stability. Crafted from refined, lightweight materials, the disc features a delicate skeletonised design and a triangular gemstone that traces each passing second with graceful motion.

A Vision of Time and Light

The Round Triple Mystery embodies the essence of Franck Muller’s creative philosophy, where time is not only measured but beautifully expressed through motion and light. Every element of its design celebrates the harmony between technical mastery and artistic emotion.

More than a timepiece, the Round Triple Mystery is a celebration of imagination, craftsmanship, and the enduring allure of mystery itself. It has also been recognised as a finalist in the Ladies’ Complication category at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève 2025, a distinction that reflects Franck Muller’s continuing pursuit of innovation and excellence in Haute Horlogerie.
